In my previous essay, I introduced the concept of self-rescue as the next evolution of self-care. Because while self-care helps us recover, self-rescue helps us rebuild. I’ve used a self-rescue framework in my own life, through heartbreaks, reinventions, and many seasons of starting over. I’ve also taught this framework in my coaching practice, guiding women who are ready to stop waiting for life to soften and start strengthening themselves instead.

Most women are already masters of endurance. We know how to survive. But self-rescue asks something different of us. It asks us to prepare, to act, and become the first and most reliable responders in our own lives. But, self-rescue isn’t about doing everything alone; it’s about knowing you can stand on your own. It’s about cultivating the emotional, physical, and financial strength to face whatever life brings, not with panic, but with confidence and power.
